Lake Havasu City Celebrates 2010 London Bridge Days

Lake Havasu City Celebrates 2010 London Bridge DaysLake Havasu City is getting ready to celebrate the "2010 London Bridge Days" with their annual parade.  This year's theme is "Honoring Havasu Heroes".  The parade will be held on October 16th at 10:00am with the starting point at the Corner of Acoma Blvd & McCulloch Blvd.

For those who want to watch the parade, you can view it anywhere on the parade route.  The parade route is approximately 1.5 miles between McCulloch Blvd to Capri Blvd.

For those who want to be in this year's parade, you can enter your floats or decorated vehicles easily by turning in your entry form no later than September 24th.  You can get an entry form from the Lake Havasu Chamber of Commerce or print one out online from here

All floats and decorated vehicles must have fire extinguishers on board and must be made of flame retardant material.  You can call the Lake Havasu Fire Department with any questions you may have about your parade materials at 453-3113.  The fire department will be inspecting all parade entries and issuing certificates of approval prior to the beginning of the parade.

Float check-in is from 7:45am to 8:30am.  Floats arriving later than 8:30 will not be in the awards ceremony for float competition.  Also, a very important note to mention, there will be no throwing of candy allowed.  This will be strictly enforced by the Lake Havasu City Police Department.

So, if you're not going to be part of the parade, be sure to come out and enjoy all the fun with other visitors and locals from around Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
